Moore Smiles is equipped to handle most of your dental needs. To help you understand more about our services, we've included a brief description for most of our services.
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, periodontal probing, gum disease evaluation, and oral cancer screening (for at risk patients). Bitewing x-rays are taken for each new patient so that the doctor can diagnose your current dental condition. We will then discuss treatment options that are best for each patient.
For patients who are missing teeth, we can place implants for a single missing tooth or multiple missing teeth. The procedure requires 3 or 4 appointments over a period of time. An implant consists of 3 parts, implant body, abutment, and crown.
We have several options for whitening your teeth. We offer in office whitening that usually requires a 2 hour appointment. We make take home trays with whitening gel for our patients, and we sell professional strength whitening strips.
We offer 3 kinds of crowns, depending on the situation and the patient. They are all porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, and all metal (gold). Veneers are an alternative to a crown and are ideal in treating many dental conditions. Both procedures usually require 2 visits.
We place tooth colored and amalgam fillings. Tooth colored fillings are bonded and closely match your existing teeth. Typically, we do not remove amalgam fillings just to replace them with tooth colored fillings. There are pro's and con's to both types and we will discuss those with you upon request.
This is another alternative for a missing tooth or teeth. We can fabricate full dentures, partial dentures, and bridges that are made from a flexible acrylic or metal framework. These procedures require several appointments over several weeks. Impressions and measurements are taken and used to create your custom denture. To ensure a natural and comfortable fit, several appointments may be necessary to make adjustments.
